Weekly Round-up! |

Good evening Resident,
What a week we've had, from numerous arrests to a visit from the Wolverhampton Police Cadets. Hope your looking forward to this, let's get to it!
What’s Been Happening
Arrests – Six arrests made this week with one unruly individual being arrested three times in one weekend. First off a male was arrested near Bentley Bridge for Indecent Exposure, charged and bailed. He was then arrested the following day for Criminal Damage at Poundland in the City Centre and further arrested for Assault of an Emergency Worker. After being released he was then arrested once again the next day for attempted theft of a pedal cycle. An arrest made on the outer sectors for possession of an offensive weapon led to an offender being identified in custody for an assault offence that had taken place the previous week during the altercations involving groups of kids, he was further arrested for Assault. Several individuals have self presented throughout the week at the Central Station front office. One male was arrested for failing to appear at his appointed court date, a second was arrested for Taking a Vehicle without consent whereby he has ‘borrowed’ his sisters car while she was on holiday and proceeded to show off in fronts of friends writing the car off in the process. The third male was arrested for public order offences. Two prolific shoplifters were arrested this week with one being for multiple thefts and the second practically walking into officers on Lichfield Street and promptly being arrested for a shop theft and a burglary.
Community Engagement – PCSO Whalley took time out of her day to talk to members of the community down at the Molineux this week, a pleasurable experience all round and she enjoyed her time talking to everyone for an hour and a half! As part of volunteer week, PCs Tatchell and Brooks led the charge with a visit from the Wolverhampton Police Cadets. They had a fun evening and witnessed and arrest and how police officers deal with the aftermath of an assault. They had the added bonus of being able to ask questions to a local homeless female and find out what its like living on the streets of Wolverhampton.
Guardian Patrols – Business as usual with our patrols this week, nothing new to report and no bonus patrols this week with Servator and the Guardian Task Force focussing on other areas. We have focussed our general patrols around the bus station this week as with the kids going back to school we were expecting reports of ASB to start coming in after school finishes for the day.
Night-Time Economy – No updates from the NTE this week as my team were on earlies at the weekend.
Other News - Fudge came to visit on Saturday with her trainer, PC Moore-Harbach, she is only 10 weeks old so still learning the ropes. We had several reports of knives this weekend with many individuals being stop searched, thankfully nothing was found. The YOURHOUSE venue on North Street saw a large group of kids attend a scheduled event, but with 180+ people inside and many more waiting to get in their afternoon was cut short. We received reports of underage drinking and potentially narcotics on site, so organisers quickly shut the party down and sent everyone on their way with help from City Centre officers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and i hope you look forward to the next one!
